Teaching Opportunities
At Nieves Music Studio - Ocala, FL

Student in Piano Lesson

šŸŽµ Love working with kids? Love making music?

At Nieves Music Studio, we inspire joy through music making — and we’re looking for teachers who bring that same joy, skill, and heart into every lesson.

What We Offer:

šŸŽ¹ Piano šŸŽ¤ Voice šŸŽø Guitar

🄁 Drums šŸ‘¶ Toddler Music

Who We're Looking For:

Grounded, committed musicians who love working with kids and believe in the long game of music education.

At Nieves Music Studio, we believe that young students don’t need a taskmaster.
They need a teacher who will help them fall in love with music — gently, joyfully, and at their own pace.

That belief is core to how we teach.
We prioritize the process, not just performance — helping each student build confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love for making music.

You're the right fit if:

  • You bring positive, patient energy — especially with little ones

  • You’re a natural encourager who builds trust before pushing goals

  • You understand that connection comes first, and growth follows

  • You’re reliable, warm, and present, not rushed or distracted

  • You can adjust your teaching style to meet each student where they are

šŸŽÆ Teaching with Us

šŸ“ Location: Lessons are taught in-person at our Ocala studio (virtual may be available upon request).

🧾 W-2 Employment — You're a team member, not a contractor.
We classify even one-day-a-week teachers as employees, which provides greater stability and can help when applying for housing, loans, or other life needs. You're part of the studio — not just filling a slot.

ā±ļø Reliable Pay — Teachers are paid for all scheduled time, even in the event of student cancellations.
If the studio is open and you're scheduled and on-site, you're paid — including last-minute cancellations, recitals, trainings, and non-teaching gaps in your schedule.
We offer both a teaching rate and a non-teaching rate, so every hour you're scheduled is valued.

šŸ—“ļø Most new teachers begin with one consistent weekly shift (4.5–7.5 hours), with room to grow over time based on studio demand, your availability, and how quickly your schedule fills.

šŸŽ¼ We teach ages 1 through adult, from toddler classes (1–4 yrs) to private and group lessons (5+ yrs).

šŸ¤ How We Support You

At Nieves Music Studio, we don’t just hand you a schedule and hope for the best — we equip you to thrive.

Here’s what support looks like for our teachers:

šŸ“ˆ Consistent Student Flow
We invest heavily in marketing to keep your schedule 90%+ full year-round, including summer. You focus on teaching — we bring the students.

šŸ—“ļø We Handle the Scheduling
You don’t have to chase down students, deal with last-minute logistics, or manage your own calendar. We take care of scheduling and communication so you can stay focused.

šŸ“š We Provide All Materials
From books to instruments to classroom supplies — we’ve got it covered. No out-of-pocket purchases, no hidden prep work.

šŸ“ž Admin & Parent Support
Our front desk team is on-site during lessons to assist with logistics and handle parent communication when needed — you’re not left to juggle it all.

🧠 Ongoing Training & Development
We check in regularly, offer paid trainings, and create space for you to keep growing. You’re never left wondering how you’re doing or what’s expected.

šŸŽ Extra Perks
Free weekly private lesson + one group class for you
25% off lessons for immediate family
Opportunities to take on more hours or step into leadership roles

We built this studio to support musicians who want to teach well and feel valued doing it. If you're looking for a studio that has your back — this is that kind of place.

āœ… Role-Specific Requirements

To ensure students receive high-quality, safe instruction, all teachers must meet the following requirements for their instrument area:

šŸŽ¹ Instrument teachers must be able to confidently demonstrate playing ability and read music fluently on their instrument.

šŸŽ¤ Voice teachers must demonstrate healthy vocal technique, have a basic understanding of piano (for warm-ups, scales, etc.), and possess strong knowledge of vocal health and anatomy to prevent strain or injury.

🧸 Toddler music teachers must be able to sing comfortably and confidently, manage group classes (up to 12 students), and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
The ability to play a secondary instrument (like guitar or ukulele) is a plus.

šŸŽ“ Preferred Qualifications

While a degree isn’t required, we give preference to applicants with a strong foundation in both musicianship and education.

You’ll stand out if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in music (or are actively pursuing one)

  • Significant private study with a qualified teacher

  • Prior teaching or mentoring experience

  • Live performance experience

If you're a strong player, communicate well, and care deeply about helping students grow — we’d love to hear from you.
