Student in Piano Lesson

šŸŽµ Every kind of student. Every kind of sound.šŸŽ¶

At Nieves Music Studio, we don’t define ourselves by a single genre, level, or personality type—because music isn’t meant to be boxed in.

Our teachers are people who love music so deeply that it spills over into the lives of their students. They’re curious, open, and grounded. Whether you’re into Bach or Pop, Jazz or Musical Theater, you’ll find a place here.

We teach beginners with care and professionals with clarity—and we welcome everyone in between. The only thing you need is a desire to learn.
The rest? We’ll grow together.

Who We're Looking For:

Our teachers come from different backgrounds—some with formal training, others with years of performance or private study. What they share is a clear sense of responsibility, adaptability, and a genuine love for teaching.

We’re a student-first studio, which means lessons are shaped by the student’s goals, style, and learning needs. It’s not about one method or genre—it’s about helping each student grow in the direction that’s right for them.

āœ… Minimum Qualifications

We don’t require a degree—but we do expect a strong foundation in both musicianship and teaching. You should be able to:

  • Read sheet music fluently
Play your instrument skillfully (Tonal instruments must be able to play in every key)

  • Communicate clearly and professionally

  • Work effectively with both kids and adults

  • Have a verifiable background in music education
(as a student, teacher, or both)

  • Adapt your teaching approach to fit individual student needs

šŸ“ Location: Lessons are taught in-person at our Ocala studio (virtual may be available upon request).

🧾 W-2 Employment — You're a team member, not a contractor.
We classify even one-day-a-week teachers as employees, which provides greater stability and can help when applying for housing, loans, or other life needs. You're part of the studio — not just filling a slot.

šŸ—“ļø Most new teachers begin with one consistent weekly shift (4.5 hours), with room to grow over time based on studio demand, your availability, and how quickly your schedule fills.

šŸŽ¼ We teach ages 1 through adult, from toddler classes (1–4 yrs) to private and group lessons (5+ yrs).
